Much of Isabel's work involves foreign nationals and Colombians living abroad with family, property, or legal ties to Colombia. She handles matters through a power of attorney, so clients rarely need to travel and always have one lawyer directing their case.

Isabel handles contested and uncontested divorces, division of marital property, prenuptial agreements, de facto unions, inheritance, and family disputes with international elements. She also manages exequatur proceedings before the Supreme Court to have foreign judgments recognized in Colombia, along with Colombian nationality claims and civil registry matters. When authorities delay or violate a client's rights, she files the appropriate constitutional actions, including the tutela.
